Details: Meet at Weaver Street Market for a bike and wagon decorating contest and a costume contest. The People’s Parade will go from there to Carrboro Town Hall, where there will be live music and kids’ activities. Starting at 12 pm, at Carrboro Century Center, the community reading of Frederick Douglass’ essay, “The Meaning of the Fourth of July for the Negro” will take place.
